Registration Overview
Please note: Only one registration should be submitted for each act. Fifth graders interested in Emcee or Tech positions should fill out registration and specify "Emcee" or "Tech" under the "Cabaret Act Description" category on the next page.

Cabaret Nights

Friday, March 9, 7:00PM Grades 1, 3, and 5 plus 5th Grade Finale
Saturday, March 10, 6:00PM Kindergarten Opening Act, 2, 4, plus 5th Grade Finale

The Tam Valley Cabaret is a PTA-sponsored event to showcase our student's talents and ambitions. This event provides our children with the opportunity to participate in the performing arts. 5th grade students can be "Tam Techies" which helps with the technical productions. Students are needed to help sell tickets and distribute programs. The Student Council will provide food and drinks at intermission as a fundraiser for their projects. Parent volunteers provide the organization for the Cabaret.

By Registering, both Performer and Parent agree that they can attend all audition, rehearsal and performance dates and times for their grade (performers are expected to remain for the entire time slot of each date) Due to the large number of performers, NO exceptions will be made. Please do not ask.

Important Dates

  • February 1, Wednesday – Auditions in MPR 2:00-3:30 PM
  • February 2, Thursday – Auditions in MPR 4:00-5:30 PM
  • February 15, Wednesday – Rehearsal 2:00-3:30 PM for Grades 1 and 3
  • February 16, Thursday – Rehearsal 4:00-6:00 PM for Grades 2, 4 and 5
  • February 26, Sunday - Rehearsal
    • 4:00-5:30 PM for Grades 1 and 3
    • 5:30-7:30 PM for Grades 2, 4 and 5
  • March 4, Sunday - Dress Rehearsal
    • 4:00-5:30 PM for Grades 1 and 3
    • 5:30-7:30 PM for Grades 2, 4 and 5
  • March 9, Friday – Show 7:00 PM Kindergarten Opening Act, Grades 1, 3 and 5 plus 5th Grade Finale
  • March 10, Saturday – Show 6:00 PM Grades 2, 4, 5 and 5th Grade Finale

Guidelines

The Cabaret Committee has prepared the following guidelines for the show. All parents and participants should read them thoroughly.
  1. All acts must be "G" rated: no weapons, violence, profanity or inappropriate behavior.
  2. All acts must be 2 minutes or less.
  3. Music, as well as act theme may not be altered after audition.
  4. Each student can perform in only one act - excluding 5th grade finale.
  5. A copy of music EDITED TO 2 MINUTES OR LESS must be provided at the first rehearsal.
  6. Acts may not use the Multipurpose Room for private rehearsing - please don't ask Stacy!
  7. Everyone will respect his or her fellow performers by listening without talking or engaging in disruptive behavior or expressing critical remarks. Failure to abide by the guidelines will result in dismissal from the Cabaret.
